Virgin Media suffers multiple rounds of outages

April 4, 2023
Internet service disrupted across the United Kingdom as Virgin Media suffered multiple rounds of outages today.

Beginning at 00:48 UTC, UK ISP Virgin Media suffered multiple service outages in the early hours of April 4th before recovering at 07:06 UTC. Then a second series of outages began at 15:24 UTC. At the time of this writing, the network is still recovering from the most recent outages.

These outages were visible in Kentik’s aggregate NetFlow as well as our BGP monitoring services. The cause of these outages has not yet been determined.
